My daughter's K class did a big project about farms. They even went on a field trip to a local farm. The kids were split into small groups and given a part of farm life to learn about. Ruby chose crops and plants. She grew her own plants in the classroom then got to bring hers home where we continued to care for them until the last chance of frost passed. Then, well, we planted them in the backyard and our 1-year old lab, Charlotte decided to do a little cultivating....Oh well, live and learn!
